Quick guide to the salvage categories for auction vans
Many of our used and pre-owned vans and light commercial vehicles are in good condition, making them versatile and dependable vehicles. Our salvage vans have sometimes been in accidents, so they’re sold with anything between slight to significant damage. These are sold at the direction of police or car insurance companies.
All of our vans and light commercial vehicles fall into one of three categories:
- Category N (formerly Cat D) – non-structural faults
- Category S (formerly Cat C) – notable structural damage
- Category B – extensive structural damage
Officially, a further category exists (Category A), but since cars in this category are strictly for scrap only, we don’t sell these at RAW2K. They wouldn’t be much use to you!
